Job summary

A. Duie Pyle is seeking a Part-time Outbound Dockworker to join our team in Castleton-On-Hudson, NY. This role is responsible for safely transporting freight on and off trailers, and verifying related documentation via the electronic and manual systems. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior forklift experience preferred.
• Prior warehousing, freight, and/or logistics experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment – forklift or electric pallet jack.
• Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to insure safe transport.
• Utilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal.
• Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts, weekends and/or holidays.
