Job summary

FedEx Freight is looking for a dock worker in Little Rock, AR to move freight between docks and trailers. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks to load and unload freight, verify paperwork, and secure loads for transit.

The role requires basic math, clear communication, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. High school diploma or equivalent and a willingness to work varied shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in warehousing or forklift operations preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 100 pounds and operate dock equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight across the dock area to/from trailers for loading and unloading.
• Operate motorized and manual equipment such as forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Verify freight documents match description (type/weight) and secure loads inside trailers.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary and complete required reports.
• Assist customers with freight documentation and perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations and company policies; perform other duties as required.
