Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is hiring a FT Inbound Freight Handler in Little Rock, AR to load and unload freight, prepare trailers, and assist in recovering damaged cargo, using safe lifting techniques and the proper handling equipment. You will weigh, dimension, and plan cube utilization to ensure correct distribution and secure loads.

The role supports LTL services in the Southeast, with pay of $29.70–$34.50 per hour and third shift options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Forklift experience and certification preferred.
• Experience as forklift operator, dock or warehouse worker is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers.
• Weigh and dimension shipments and plan cube utilization.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting.
• Review freight bills and check manifests for instructions.
• Verify hazardous material paperwork when applicable.
