US Foods is seeking a skilled heavy‑duty diesel mechanic to maintain our fleet and perform preventative maintenance on equipment. You will document repairs, handle road service, and keep accurate records in fleet software.

Strong problem‑solving and communication with drivers are essential in a fast‑paced environment. The role offers Sunday–Thursday night shifts with a pay range of $39–$42 per hour based on certifications and experience, plus day‑one benefits including tool allowance,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting ability using fleet maintenance software.
• Independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Furnish own personal hand tools.
• Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Read and understand technical/service manuals.
• Excellent communication with co-workers and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance within company standards.
• Document all repair orders, PM lists and parts accountability.
• Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport as needed.
• Log repairs in the software system and maintain records.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety regulations.
• Maintain inventory and proper recordkeeping.
• Backup to other maintenance staff as needed.
• Willingness to take on increased responsibility and certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
