Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is hiring a heavy-duty diesel mechanic to maintain a safe, reliable fleet. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers, bobtails, and related equipment, following DOT standards. The job requires tool ownership and on-site work at US Foods facilities.

Expect a Sunday-Thursday night shift, with a pay rate of $38–$40 per hour. Candidates should have 3+ years of diesel experience, and be prepared to document work using fleet software.

Qualifications

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
• Independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience administering a preventive maintenance program.
• Must furnish own personal hand tools.
• Able to read and write legibly, with basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls, coordinate with third party vendors, and work with partners on action plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Document repairs and parts used in fleet maintenance software.
• Provide backup support to other maintenance staff.
• Pursue increased responsibility and certifications as available.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
