Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an experienced L2 Data Center Technician to support overnight data center operations in a fast-paced environment. This role provides hands-on support for server hardware, networking equipment, cabling, and data center infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of data center experience, strong hardware troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of Linux basics, safety protocols, and ticket documentation. This is an on-site role in San Jose, California.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of data center experience required.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of server hardware.
• Experience with data center cables and connectors.
• Basic Linux commands and server environments.
• Ability to work overnight/graveyard shift.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot server hardware and isolate root causes.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with servers, switches, cabling.
• Order and install replacement server parts.
• Update firmware and configure IPs on servers.
• Assist network teams with server/network troubleshooting.
• Document work, troubleshooting steps, and tickets.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team.
