Job summary

You will collaborate with network administrators, rack and cable servers, and support remote validation activities. The position requires local availability and willingness to perform hardware upgrades and inventory audits in a fast-paced data center environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data center experience with rack and stack, cabling, and component replacement.
• Basic OS administration on Windows or Linux.
• Onsite local to South San Jose, CA is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with network administrators to resolve server issues and upgrade hardware.
• Rack, stack, and cabling of servers/switches for remote access and validation.
• Provide hands-on support for ad hoc server/network requests.
• Coordinate procurement and return of defective hardware from vendors.
• Cabling of servers and network devices per wiring diagrams and validate connectivity.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot server issues with help from remote admins.
• Perform firmware upgrades and configure IPs and access credentials.
• Conduct physical audits of servers, components, and consumables for inventory accuracy.
