Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician for on-site night shifts in Shoreview, MN.

The role focuses on maintenance and repairs within a data center environment, ensuring reliable operation of mechanical and electrical systems. You will inspect, monitor, and respond to BMS alarms, coordinate with vendors, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance while following established procedures and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and tech equipment.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• React to Building Management System (BMS) alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company processes and laws.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
• Building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDU’s and utilities.
• Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
• Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures; follow safety and regulatory standards; maintain quality records.
• Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all responsibilities.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems with limited discretion.
• Output delivered by following defined procedures under close supervision and guidance.
• Complete all documentation on time and input into CFIMS.
