Job summary
TEKsystems is seeking a Data Center Technician for a 1-year+ W2 contract in the Centennial, CO area, covering a night shift (Mon-Thurs, 8pm-6am). The role requires willingness to work nights and will involve daily data center duties, alarm monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of cabling, servers, and hardware.
The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years in data centers or Co-Lo environments, with experience in cabling, server installs, and familiarity with facility systems such as HVAC and power
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years experience in data centers or Co-Lo's.
- Technical experience within cabling, server install/troubleshooting, hardware fix/installs, rack/stack.
- Any experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.
- Any level of experience running cables, testing or terminating would be a plus.
- Any exposure to building automation systems and interacting with HVAC, generator systems and overall facility systems.
Responsibilities
- Walking facility and monitor alarms for issues with network, servers, wifi, hardware and elevate if needed.
- Troubleshooting basic cable, server, hardware issues; support deliveries that arrive; move cable and reboot server if needed.
- Manage alarms and elevate to on-call techs; basic understanding of UPS/power generators/HVAC is ideal.
