Job summary

Amazon's AWS team in Covington, GA is seeking a Data Center Technician to support server hardware installations, complex diagnostics, and network troubleshooting across our global infrastructure. You will help keep the cloud running by addressing incidents that affect service availability and by maintaining equipment in data centers.

This is a night-shift, on-site role demanding travel between sites, on-call rotations, and extended workdays.

Qualifications

• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.
• 18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking troubleshooting experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT-related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix, troubleshooting network issues, responding to incidents to ensure service availability.
• Serving as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders.
• Performing on-call duties and participating in maintenance and change management.
• Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives.
• Helping interview, train and onboard new team members.
