Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to safeguard mission-critical infrastructure and deliver 99.999% uptime. You will perform daily rounds, monitor critical systems, and assist with troubleshooting within SLAs.

Role involves rack installs, preventive maintenance, change-management writing, and on-site collaboration with contractors. Shifts can be up to 12 hours, with on-call rotations and travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years using Microsoft Office applications.
• 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/safety equipment to ensure uptime.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS systems and assist in troubleshooting events.
• Conduct rack installs/decommissions and support PM and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors while following procedures and local laws.
• Prepare technical documentation for change management and project execution.
• Travel between data center sites as required and adapt to rotating shifts.
