Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Technician to maintain the health of our global cloud infrastructure. The role involves in-depth hardware and network diagnostics, on-site repair, and participation in an on-call rotation to ensure continuous availability of AWS data centers.

This position is night shift/night-time oriented and may require travel between sites. Responsibilities include performing rack installations, repair work, and coordinating with engineers and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• 18+ months of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• 18+ months of computer layer 1/2 networking experience, including troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix, troubleshooting network issues, and addressing operational incidents to maintain service availability.
• Serving as primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders including engineers, vendors, and contractors.
• On-call duties and participation in maintenance and change management activities.
