Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician in Covington, GA to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical data center facilities, including diesel generators, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems. You will work with a diverse team to ensure high availability and meet internal SLAs.

Flexible shifts and potential relocation support are part of the role. The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical experience, a high school diploma, and at least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or data center facilities experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years experience with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLA.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Technical writing to support change management.
• On-site support of contractors and vendors ensuring compliance with practices and local laws.
• Work schedule changes; shifts up to 12 hours; potential on-call rotations.
