Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Nights Data Center Engineering Technician to support mission-critical data center equipment, including diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, and life-safety systems.

This role requires 2+ years in electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance, comfort with night shifts, and the ability to travel between data center locations as needed; relocation stipends may apply for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLA.
• PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment.
• Prepare technical documents to support change management.
