Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Site Engineer I (Night Shift) to support data center operations across one or more sites. You will contribute to daily operations, craft SOPs, and manage changes to keep critical systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities include incident reporting, CMMS work orders, and collaboration with the Ops team to ensure uptime and safety. Strong electrical or mechanical skills and DSCE awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in mission critical facilities operations/engineering or equivalent equipment experience (UPS, HVAC, generators, fire/life safety).
• Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill with cross-discipline capability.
• Strong knowledge of UPS systems and architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems and architectures.
• Understanding of redundancy configurations (N+1, 2N, ATS/STS, Failover).
• Familiarity with CMMS, DCIM, and power metering systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand facility layout and operation of MEP systems and create site one-lines with accuracy.
• Create/modify site operating procedures and change management tickets.
• Inspect and document incidents, outages, and repairs to maintain 100% uptime.
• Support audits and accreditation initiatives (SSA E16, SOC2, ISO 27001).
• Supervise construction activities and site changes as required.
• Troubleshoot site electrical and mechanical systems and respond to incidents.
