Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer Level 1 to support site protection, manage access control, monitor CCTV, and respond to incidents in collaboration with the DCOPS team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in a security role; data center or similar environment preferred.
• Experience with access control systems, CCTV, and Microsoft Office.
• Must obtain active security certifications (CSG or CPO) within six months.
• Excellent customer service and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all employees, clients, vendors, and visitors on company property have proper company-issued identification.
• Patrols assigned post on foot to maintain visibility and observes possible unusual activity.
• Monitors and ensures a safe and professional work environment for client personnel and staff.
• Operate and monitor CCTV and access control systems.
• Investigates, reports, and addresses security, maintenance, and safety conditions.
• Complete concise administrative documentation including Shift Activity Reports and Incident Reports.
• Adhere to company security procedures and policies.
• Assist personnel with security-related requests.
• Assist with access control audits and badge discrepancy audits as directed.
• Support Shipping and Receiving tasks when needed.
• Respond to site emergencies and coordinate with local emergency services.
• Investigate fires, evacuations, and hazardous situations.
