Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer Level 1 to safeguard personnel and property at a data center. You will manage access control, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, and prepare written reports in collaboration with the Data Center Operations Team.

The role emphasizes clear communication, safety, and compliance with security procedures, with on-site duties and potential involvement in Shipping & Receiving as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional security education is a plus.
• Active certifications such as CSG or CPO are mandated by state regulations and must be obtained within six months.
• Prior security role experience, preferably in data centers or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper company-issued identification for employees, clients, vendors and visitors.
• Patrol assigned posts on foot to maintain visibility and deter unusual activity.
• Monitor CCTV and access control systems to protect personnel and property.
• Investigate, address, and report security, maintenance and safety conditions.
• Complete concise shift activity reports and incident documentation.
• Enforce security procedures and company policies; assist with shipping and receiving as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with local emergency services.
• Maintain familiarity with security policies and procedures; conduct investigations and interviews as required.
