Job summary

TEKsystems in Red Oak, TX is seeking data center technicians for a contract role. You will pull and install fiber/copper, dress and label cables, and rack and stack equipment while following data center standards.

Night shift is 12 hours with 6-7 days a week, Sundays may be required. ORACLE orientation and OSHA 10/Scissor certs needed. Salary ranges from $20 to $32 per hour, onsite with benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Data center experience needed.
• Fiber optic/copper installation experience needed.
• Experience with fiber/copper testing and troubleshooting is a plus (fluke/OTDR).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction/data center environment.
• Need to be able to work 12 hour shifts (night shift for now) 6-7 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Pull and install fiber optic cabling.
• Install and connect pre-terminated fiber into cassettes.
• Cable dressing, labeling, and organization.
• Terminations fiber/copper.
• Follow data center standards and safety procedures.
