Qualifications

  • Previous experience with structured cabling, telecommunications, fiber optics, or data center construction.

Responsibilities

  • Pull, route, dress, and secure fiber optic and copper cabling.
  • Install cabling through ladder rack, cable tray, conduit, innerduct, and other approved pathways.
  • Port and connect fiber optic cabling while ensuring proper routing and polarity.
  • Terminate copper cabling, including jacks, patch panels, and connectors.
  • Test fiber and copper cabling using Fluke, VIAVI, EXFO, or similar test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues, including fiber loss, failed terminations, and polarity issues.
  • Read and follow construction drawings, cable schedules, and work instructions.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience with structured cabling, telecommunications, fiber optics, or data center construction
  • Experience pulling and installing fiber optic and copper cabling
  • Experience terminating copper cabling, including jacks, patch panels, and connectors
  • Ability to test and troubleshoot fiber and copper cabling
  • Ability to read and follow construction drawings, cable schedules, and work instructions
  • Ability to work safely in an active construction environment
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including day or night shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
