Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking technicians for a contract role based out of Red Oak, TX, performing fiber optic cabling, terminations, and data center work. Expect 12-hour shifts, 6–7 days a week, with night schedules and potential Sundays. OSHA 10/Scissor certs required, drug test administered onsite.

The position involves working with 288- and 144-count fiber, preterminated cables, and OTDR/Fluke testing to ensure proper installations and standards compliance.

Qualifications

• Data center experience needed.
• Fiber optic/copper installation experience needed.
• Experience with fiber/copper testing and troubleshooting is a plus (fluke/OTDR).

Responsibilities

• Pull and install fiber optic cabling.
• Work with backbone fiber including 288-count fiber and 144-count fiber.
• Install and connect pre-terminated fiber into cassettes.
• Cable dressing, labeling, and organization.
• Terminations fiber/copper.
• Assist with fiber testing and troubleshooting using Fluke and OTDR.
