Byrne is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in East Syracuse, NY, to execute preventive and corrective maintenance on dairy processing equipment, including pasteurizers and packaging machinery. The role requires hands-on repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within a food-grade environment.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, repairing lines quickly, installing instrumentation, and documenting work orders in a CMMS.

Qualifikationen

• GED or High School diploma preferred.
• 2–3 years’ experience within the mechanical field.
• Experience with VFDs, conveyors, pumps, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Experience with PLCs and instrumentation/controls.
• Food manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on dairy processing equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production operations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to restore production lines.
• Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime.
