RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an RN for the CVICU at the Main Hospital in New Brunswick. The role is part-time, night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with a 36-hour week schedule and weekend/holiday rotations.

The successful candidate will hold an active NJ RN license, BLS, and have relevant critical care experience. BSN preferred, with opportunities for growth and professional development within RWJBarnabas Health.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• 1 year of RN experience in Critical Care (CVICU) or 2 years Telemetry/Step Down.
• BSN strongly preferred or to be completed within 5 years of hire.
• CCRN and ACLS certifications preferred.
• Experience with EPIC or similar EMR system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and detect clinical changes early.
• Administer safe medications and provide evidence-based treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and support smooth transitions of care.
