Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a custodian to perform janitorial duties and follow a daily schedule with safety as a priority. The role requires operating cleaning equipment, maintaining areas, and reporting hazards promptly.

Teamwork and professional conduct are essential for delivering quality service to clients. Education is flexible with 3–6 months training preferred; forklift certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Bilingual a plus
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
