Job summary

Northeast State Community College seeks a Custodian for the 3rd shift to maintain the cleanliness of offices and classrooms. The role requires knowledge of cleaning procedures and equipment used in custodial work.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, window washing, floor maintenance, and restroom cleaning. A shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Sunday–Thursday, is provided with long periods of standing and walking throughout the building.

Qualifications

• Must have basic cleaning knowledge and be able to work as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and handle physical tasks.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop stairs, corridors, offices, classrooms, and multi-function rooms.
• Vacuum carpet and spot clean as needed.
• Wash windows and maintain hard surface floors including waxing and buffing.
• Polish furniture and woodwork; manage janitor's closets and supplies.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum, buffer, floor scrubber.
