Job summary

SpaceX Starbase is seeking a Process Operator Specialist for the night shift to run the new Air Separation Unit, ensuring high-purity LOX production for Starship. You will monitor cryogenic systems, perform startups/shutdowns, and execute safe operations under supervision.

You will collect samples, log data, and support troubleshooting, calibration, and LOTO/PSM activities while upholding safety and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years' experience in industrial plant operations or air separation units.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ASU via DCS/HMI; conduct field rounds and report deviations.
• Assist with plant startups, shutdowns, mode changes and alert responses.
• Support maintenance, calibration of ASU equipment including compressors, turbines, distillation columns, molecular sieve beds, and gas analysers.
• Collect samples, test in-field, log data, and escalate when conditions deviate.
• Perform lockout/tagout and permit-to-work activities; maintain 5S and housekeeping.
