Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Starbase, Texas, seeks a Process Operator Specialist for its Air Separation Unit (ASU) supporting Starship propellant production. You will operate cryogenic distillation, turboexpanders, and high-purity LOX systems under supervision, ensuring safe, efficient plant operations.

The role emphasizes hands-on instrumentation, startup/shutdown procedures, field rounds, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years in an industrial environment or plant operations with air separation, cryogenics, chemical, or oil & gas.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ASU via DCS/HMI and perform field rounds, report deviations.
• Assist plant startups/shutdowns, mode changes, and abnormal condition responses.
• Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration of ASU equipment.
• Collect samples, log data accurately, escalate when conditions stray from procedures.
• Perform LOTO, permit-to-work, and PSM activities; maintain 5S and housekeeping.
• Learn SOPs for major ASU systems and support shift pass-down.
• Build understanding of cryogenic thermodynamics and distillation during training.
• Ensure readiness of the board and field for the next shift; drive reliability improvements.
