Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Critical Care Tech to join Penrose-St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs. You will perform direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with an RN or physician, supporting patients’ physical and emotional needs.

Schedule is full time nights. Required EMT certification or Paramedic certificate; preferred healthcare experience. You will document tasks in patient records and work with a multidisciplinary team in a 712-bed acute care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EMT certificate (EMTA/EMTI or Paramedic certificate) required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with RN and Physician regarding patient observations to assist in treatment.
• Performs technical tasks (e.g., IV insertion, splinting, wound care) as directed by RN or physician.
• Provides person-centered care with empathy within a collaborative team.
• Accurately documents all tasks and observations in patient records.
• Demonstrates effective clinical strategies to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Collaborates with medicine, nursing, and other healthcare professionals on the care plan.
