Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health seeks a Critical Care Tech I for the Kelemen 8 unit to assist with patient ADLs and support the care team. This role emphasizes safety, ethics, and teamwork within a busy medical-surgical environment.

Under RN supervision, you will perform technical duties, reinforce patient education, and participate in rounds and quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years’ experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities and follow standard precautions.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, POC testing, EKGs, and Foley care as directed by RN.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately.
• Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and assist in orienting new hires.
• Complete annual hospital and unit-specific competencies by the due date.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards to ensure safe patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and coworkers.
