Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and certification required.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility).
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, point-of-care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care as directed.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient status to RN and respond appropriately.
• Reinforce education for patients and families regarding care needs and safety.
• Participate in patient satisfaction initiatives and orientation of new hires.
• Complete annual unit-specific competencies by the due date.
