Job summary

Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the night shift. The RN II provides professional nursing care, conducts assessments, assists with exams and treatments, and maintains records for a diverse patient population.

The role includes leadership responsibilities such as serving as charge nurse or preceptor, participating in unit governance and hospital-wide initiatives, and mentoring students or new staff within a collaborative health care team.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas (Texas State Licensure) and PSV Compact Licensure – must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency) and
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA)
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA) within 4 months
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (AHA) within 4 months

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Conduct nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatment, and maintain medical records.
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and interprofessional teams to coordinate care and achieve treatment outcomes.
• Lead unit initiatives, serve as charge nurse or preceptor, and contribute to service line or hospital-wide projects.
