Job summary

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) II to provide direct patient care, perform assessments, and support exam and treatment processes within a diverse patient population.

The role requires leadership within the unit, potential to serve as charge nurse or preceptor, and collaboration with physicians and the interprofessional team to ensure compassionate, high-quality care and patient advocacy in alignment with hospital standards.

Qualifications

• 12 months RN experience in a healthcare environment.
• Graduate of approved nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license or compact licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and assessments.
• Coordinate with physicians and interprofessional care team to facilitate treatment.
• Assist with exams and treatment and maintain medical records.
• Lead unit activities and support charge nurse responsibilities when needed.
