Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shift coverage at East Orlando and Waterford Lakes ER locations. You will document procedures, assist with patient flow, and provide respiratory therapies per protocol.

The role requires NBRC/BLS as preferred credentials and an Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science, with 1+ year of critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science is required.
• NBRC credential and active BLS CPR certification preferred; RRT preferred.
• Minimum 1+ year of critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document and process procedures accurately.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to manage patient flow.
• Follow safety regulations and hospital policies.
• Interpret evaluations and collaborate on treatment plans.
• Respond to Code Blue emergencies with CPR per AHA guidelines.
• Support respiratory therapies and ventilator management as directed.
• Monitor arterial blood gases and quality controls as needed.
• Maintain airway support and anesthesia/ventilation equipment.
• Engage with multidisciplinary team to optimize therapy effectiveness.
