Qualifications

• Completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program; certifications may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating care with the RN and care team.
• Communicate patient data and changes in condition promptly.
• Promote infection prevention and standard precautions.
• Assist with activities of daily living and vital signs.
• Document care provided and observations for the care team.
