Job summary

Novolex in Franklin, OH is seeking a Corrugator Operator to set up, run, monitor and maintain corrugated cardboard production equipment, ensuring safe, efficient operation and high-quality output. Nights shift 7pm–7am, starting pay $21.80/hour, offers opportunities to develop mechanical skills, learn preventative maintenance, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires team-oriented mindset and a can-do attitude.
• Must possess basic mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot.
• Able to work in hot environments with inks and lubricants.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs (70 lbs with help).
• Willing to work weekends or irregular hours as production requires.
• Strong reading of basic English and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Knows and comprehends corrugator operation, maintenance, and set-up requirements.
• Maintains production and scrap goals consistently.
• Analyzes mechanical issues and plans corrective action.
• Makes corrections to ensure top quality, low scrap, and productivity.
• Tests equipment and safety devices for proper operation.
• Examines finished product for quality against specs.
• Performs preventive maintenance checks and reports findings.
• Analyzes spoilage causes and takes corrective action.
• Coaches trainees and supports helpers on procedures.
• Notifies supervisor of corrective actions and supply needs.
