Job summary

Novolex is seeking an Infeed Material Operator for Franklin Park, IL. This night shift position runs 7:00pm to 7:00am with a starting hourly rate of $20.87 to $25.00 plus shift differential, based on experience.

The role involves operating material blending systems, maintaining material flow, cleaning equipment, and performing required paperwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a hot environment for 12 hours with breaks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs occasionally as job demands.
• Must be able to work 30' off the ground.
• Must have good communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization.
• Must be able to work standing or walking in a hot environment for 12 hours with appropriate breaks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot all material blending systems.
• Clean all material system filters, socks and canisters.
• Monitor regrind usage, assist with grinding scrap sheet, and adjust per department goals.
• Maintain material flow to all machines in the area.
• Complete all required paperwork.
• Identify and label materials placed into gaylords for later use.
• Maintain hoses and replace as needed.
• Keep blender mezzanines, silo room, compressor area and back aisle clean.
• Clean silo access rooms.
• Write work orders for items in need of repair.
• Communicate with shift and other operators.
• Follow safety procedures and policies.
• Perform all other assigned duties.
