Job summary

MEDIKO is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for York, PA in the prison medical unit. The role provides direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, treatments, and emergency response within a correctional setting.

Join a mission-driven team, collaborate with physicians, mental health, and officers, and contribute to safe, compliant healthcare delivery. Night shift 6:00 PM–6:30 AM, 36–48 hours per week on a block schedule with safety and work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN licensure in the state.
• 1–3 years of healthcare experience, preferably correctional.
• Active CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a correctional setting.
• Assess, document, and monitor patient conditions and progress.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Document in EMR according to policy and regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health, and officers on care plans.
• Educate patients on health management and post-care care.
• Lead nursing operations in the absence of management.
