MEDIKO, at the Nisqually Correctional Facility in Olympia, WA, is seeking a dedicated nurse for the night shift. This full-time role offers competitive hourly pay and growth opportunities within a mission-driven correctional healthcare team.

You will assess inmate health, administer medications, document in EMR, and collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and officers to deliver high-quality, compliant care.

Qualifications

• State licensure to practice nursing in applicable state.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• High School diploma or GED required; higher degree preferred but not required.
• 1-3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in correctional care.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations in correctional settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
• Conduct initial medical screenings and assessments for inmates.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Document patient assessments and progress in the EMR.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
