Job summary

MEDIKO in Longview, WA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care in a correctional setting. You will assess patients, administer medications, and develop care plans in collaboration with a healthcare team while ensuring facility policies and infection control standards are followed.

The role requires current RN licensure, CPR/BLS, and 1–3 years of healthcare experience; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• A current, valid state licensure to practice as an RN.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or Nursing is preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in correctional care.
• Active CPR/BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a correctional setting per physician orders.
• Assess, document, and monitor patient health and progress in EMR.
• Administer medications and treatments following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health, and staff to plan care.
• Respond to medical emergencies and ensure infection control.
• Mentor other nursing staff and supervise LPNs and aides.
