Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as RN Charge/Intake in a correctional setting at Dauphin County Prison, Harrisburg, PA. This full-time night shift role includes direct patient care, medication administration, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• 1–3 years clinical healthcare experience, preferably correctional
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Ability to provide direct patient care in a correctional setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in correctional setting, including assessments, medications, treatments and emergencies
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders
• Develop and implement patient care plans with the healthcare team
• Document patient assessments and progress in EMR per policy
• Supervise LPNs and nursing assistants; mentor staff
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed
• Coordinate with physicians, mental health professionals and officers to deliver comprehensive care
