Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a friendly receptionist for Bramwell House, a Lifehouse facility housing adults 18+ experiencing homelessness. You will be the first point of contact, signing in visitors, handling queries, and ensuring a welcoming, professional environment.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work as part of a team, and experience working with vulnerable clients. A DBS check, right-to-work verification, and references are required; the position is fixed-term

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable person with good communication skills.
• Experience in handling cash and payments.
• Ability to work in a busy reception and front-of-house environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-of-house service to clients/visitors and manage sign-in/out.
• Answer and direct phone calls professionally; refer queries appropriately.
• Perform health and safety checks and maintain records.
• Handle cash and ensure accounting records are accurate.
• Operate CCTV system after training in line with policy.
• Support team to ensure a positive experience at Bramwell House.
