Job summary

IGT is hiring an entry-level Computer Operator I to monitor and troubleshoot operating systems in a 24x7 VLT Operations Center. You will follow procedures, escalate issues, and maintain logs. Standard shifts run 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 12-hour nights, requiring strong attention to detail and teamwork.

The role emphasizes security, incident escalation, and customer coordination with venues and regulators, along with learning plans and career growth within a global gaming company.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field (or 1–2 years of relevant IT operations experience).
• Basic command-line navigation in Unix, Linux, AIX, VMS, and DOS environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with PC operating systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts entry-level troubleshooting of host systems, middleware, applications, and tools by following established procedures under supervision.
• Monitors network operations by verifying tool availability and identifying anomalies.
• Oversees logical security to ensure compliance and system integrity.
• Performs routine system and server monitoring to verify operational health and elevate incidents.
• Coordinates and fulfills internal and external customer requests with proper validation and tracking.
• Communicates with gaming venues and regulatory agencies to address issues and maintain relationships.
• Recommends updates to procedures and checklists to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Adheres to SLAs and IT best practices to maintain operational excellence.
