Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Hazleton is seeking a Nursing Assistant to deliver direct patient care on the Med Surg 5 unit during the night shift. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and support patient needs with a patient/family centered approach.

Responsibilities include performing treatments and diagnostic activities as directed, communicating changes to the RN, and assisting with rounds, call lights, and teamwork across the care delivery team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; six months direct patient care experience preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain unit-specific competencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support as directed by the RN.
• Communicate findings and changes effectively to the RN.
• Assist with patient rounds and respond to call lights promptly.
• Support unit goals and participate in orientation of new staff.
