Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a dedicated healthcare teammate for Night Shift at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Hazleton. This role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and supports the care delivery team.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months of direct patient care experience or completion of LVHN’s inexperienced technical partner course, and BLS certification. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months recent experience in direct patient care activities, including treatments and/or diagnostic studies, or completion of LVHN’s inexperienced technical partner course.
• Must be able to follow directions and provide accurate reports.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize patient care assignments.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - Pennsylvania within 30 days.

Responsabilités

• Provides care to designated patients using a patient/family-centered approach.
• Reports findings and changes to the RN.
• Uses effective verbal and non-verbal communication with patients and staff.
• Supports unit and hospital goals and objectives.
• Participates in orientation of new staff as assigned.
• Performs validated clinical skills based on unit practice.
• Utilizes technology to optimize care delivery.
• Completes quality control checks on unit equipment.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds promptly to calls.
