Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC in Heflin, AL seeks an entry-level Take Up 2 to set up and operate coiler/spoolers, including Skaltec Coiler, Windak, and a Skaltec Takeup (BWP). This role supports line operations and requires the ability to lift up to 45 lbs while following safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include assisting operators, loading reels, labeling with tags, performing minor machine adjustments, and adhering to ISO procedures. A forklift license may be required for certain duties.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators with lines and operate per procedures.
• Change out reels of cable and label reels with tagging system.
• Make minor adjustments/repairs to machines and meet customer requirements.
• Operate take up and assist line operator; may require forklift license.
