Cadrex Acquires D&R Machine Company is seeking a cautious and skilled CNC Operator II to run both manual and CNC machines, producing small to medium parts per specifications. The role requires setup, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments while maintaining high quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator with 2–3 years in CNC machining operations.
• Proficient in machine setup, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments; G-code knowledge a plus.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and CNC operation.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Commitment to safety in the workplace.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operates CNC machines to produce production parts and assemblies
• Operates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes
• Positions parts using fastening devices
• Operates hand-held, electrical, and pneumatic tools
• Uses lift equipment as needed
• Utilizes precision measuring tools as required
• Recognizes material types and adjusts equipment accordingly
• Identifies worn tooling and changes machine settings as needed
• Verifies accuracy of finished products and batches
• Reports defects or non-conforming work to lead
• Maintains clean, safe work area and follows safety regulations
• Completes necessary paperwork and production sheets
• Sets up CNC machines by loading tools, fixtures, and materials; verifies settings and parameters
