Job summary

QPS Employment Group is hiring a CNC Machinist in Elkhorn, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity on 2nd or 3rd shift with a wage of $25.00-$30.00/hour.

The role requires operating CNC lathes and mills, including horizontal and vertical machining centers, and performing setup, tooling changes, GD&T, and quality inspections. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC experience, strong English communication, and proficiency in Mazatrol and G-code programming, data recording, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years operating and setting up CNC lathes and mills, incl. horizontal and vertical machining centers
• Ability to read/write English and document data accurately
• Experience handling parts and tooling with overhead cranes or hoists
• Familiarity with Mazatrol and G-code programming, interpretation and troubleshooting
• Experience with micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, height stands
• Knowledge of SPC and ISO quality systems

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines, set up tooling, perform insert changes and deburring
• Manufacture components per prints, specs and GD&T
• Conduct quality inspections with precision tools
• Document quality data and production metrics
• Support preventive maintenance and daily housekeeping
• Review schedules, prepare equipment and materials for operations
• Participate in process improvement and fixturing/tooling development
