Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Machinist II in Wisconsin. The position involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines including boring bars, mills, lathes, grinders and other special purpose CNC equipment.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, verifying tolerances with precision tools, creating/editing CNC programs, selecting fixtures and tools, and ensuring parts meet specifications. Lifting up to 50 lb and multi-shift availability are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; trade certificate preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC machines and controls.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate CNC machines per drawings.
• Study blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions.
• Create and edit CNC programs; perform dry runs and debug.
• Select and secure fixtures, tools and materials.
• Adjust machine controls to meet tolerance and finish.
• Monitor machine operation and correct malfunctions as needed.
• Verify finished parts against specifications.
• Adapt tooling for special requirements.
