Job summary

Johnson Controls in Burlington, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform core production tasks, calibrate machines, and ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced environment. You will operate CNC and laser cutting equipment, read schematics, and collaborate with engineers on process improvements.

The role emphasizes machine setup, routine maintenance, and strict adherence to SOPs, with a 3rd shift schedule and onsite attendance five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibration, and operation of machines used in the production processes.
• Follow SOPs or work instructions from verbal or written directions.
• Inspect machining operations and finished products against tolerances using precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
• Set up and operate a CNC production machine per procedures.
• Use computer-controlled equipment to operate laser cutting machines for metal sheet stack forging.
• Control and adjust machine settings to complete routine tasks.
• Inspect material and products to quality standards and report discrepancies.
• Collaborate with engineers and support staff on R&D projects and process improvements.
• This role requires 5 days onsite per week.
