Job summary

United Alloy is seeking an experienced CNC laser operator to load and program CO2 or fiber laser machines, align materials, and verify dimensions for precision fabrications. You will read CAD files, adjust machine settings, and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

This onsite role requires reliable teamwork and adherence to safety standards at the Janesville facility. We value candidates with 2+ years of laser operation experience, ability to lift up to 100 pounds with

Qualifications

Minimum two years’ experience operating CO2 or Fiber CNC laser-cutting machines.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Understanding of CNC processes and their impact on fabrication quality.

Responsibilities

Align and secure materials on the laser cutting table.
Load and interpret CAD files into the machine interface.
Adjust machine settings (power, speed, focus) based on material type and thickness.
Operate the laser to cut or engrave per design ensuring accuracy.
Inspect cut/engraved components for dimensions and quality.
Run routine maintenance and lens/geometry checks.
Keep logs of completed jobs and any deviations or issues.
Maintain safety policies and assist in training others.
