Job summary

Johnson Controls in Burlington, MA is seeking a meticulous Manufacturing Technician for the 2nd shift to operate CNC and laser equipment, set up tooling, and ensure quality through meticulous inspection. You will follow SOPs, cooperate with engineering teams, and help optimize processes in a fast‑paced facility.

Qualifications

• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams.
• Critical eye for identifying defects and maintaining safety.
• Ability to operate with SOPs and work instructions.
• Willingness to work on-site five days a week and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibration, and operation of machines in production processes.
• Follow verbal or written instructions through SOPs and work instructions.
• Inspect machining operations and finished products to tolerances with precision tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Operate CNC and laser-capable equipment per established guidelines.
• Adjust machine settings to specifications and document discrepancies.
• Collaborate with engineers on R&D projects and process improvements.
• This role requires 5 days onsite per week.
